About FroWS

Friends of Wembury School (formerly Wembury School PTA) is proud to support

Wembury Primary School through fund raising and organising social events

within the community.

If you are a parent at Wembury Primary, you are automatically a Friend of Wembury School.  We are always very keen for new ideas and new people to help us out with events – so if you are interested, please come along. If you are new to the area, the Friends group is a great way to meet other parents and get involved with the school life!

We are lucky to be part of such a great community, and our name change demonstrates our wish to get as many different people from the village to be involved in our events.  So, if you are a past parent or pupil, or a local resident, we would love you to support our events.

We meet regularly to discuss new ways of raising money – meeting dates are advertised through the school, on this website and on our facebook page:

The first meeting of the new term was very successful with a few new faces turning up. The existing Chair (Emma Draper), Secretary (Kerry Booth) and Treasurer (Shelley Roberts) gave an overview of how FroWS works and the most common events.

Upcoming Events

Festival of light: 6th December 2017 @ 6pm in the Village Hall

The Festival of Light is a brilliant opportunity to help others less fortunate at a time of year, when we need to spread some joy. Santa arrives with an empty sack that will be filled with wrapped items (Ideally adult toiletries) for the Shekinah Mission. The Wembury Village Christmas tree is also switched on.  FroWs will be serving teas and coffees (and possibly some Mulled Wine!). Come and support two very worth while local charities.

Wembury Drama Group Panto - Knight Fever: 8th December 2017, Curtain up at 7pm

The Wembury Drama Group put on a fantastic show. For this date some of the proceeds from the door sales and the refreshments got to the FRoWs. So when buying tickets, which are available from Knighton and Down Thomas Stores, make sure you can attend the 8th December!

If you can provide any support to any of these functions, even for just an hour, please let anyone listed on the FroWs page know and they will be able to provide additional information.
