Today, the children learnt how the death of Queen Boudicca's husband, King Prasutagus, sparked rebellion in Roman-occupied Great Britain in 61AD. The children explored the feelings of Boudicca and her 2 daughters after the death of the King and the events that followed. They did this by reading and rehearsing a scene from a play script. The children tried to put themselves in the place of their character and feel the emotions of that person. After some practise, we created our own theatre for the children to show off what they had practised. And, of course, with weather like today's, the learning has to take place outside!
