Job Vacancies @ Wembury Primary

Wembury Primary is seeking to recruit highly supportive, friendly and experienced Teaching Assistants and support staff. We currently have the vacancies below: 

 

Post 1.

SEND Teaching Assistant required September 2018

 

Salary / Grade: B - D - £ 16495-21074 per annum, pro-rata pending experience

15.75 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, (Current Year 2 & Year 4 Pupils)

Application Deadline - Wednesday 13th June 2018 12.00 Noon

Job Start Date – 3rd September 2018

 

You will primarily be responsible for supporting two pupils with specific learning difficulties. You need to have an excellent understanding of SEND, be patient and work well as part of a team. You must have relevant experience and/or qualifications (NVQ2 or above); experience of working with pupils with communication, interaction and processing difficulties. The successful applicant will work on a 1:1 basis, both in class and within groups, reporting to the class teachers, SENCo and parents, therefore communication skills must be strong. There is a requirement that you support Breakfast Club, After-school Club and/or lunchtimes.

The post will be in place until the child leaves the school or no longer requires support.

Post 2

Teaching Assistant (Permanent)

 

Salary / Grade: B - C - £ 16495-18672 per annum, pro-rata pending experience

26.25 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

Job Start Date - ASAP

 

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to start as soon as available. Applicants must be a good team member and hold GCSE Grade A* - C (or equivalent) in English and Maths, NVQ level 2. The successful candidate will: have experience or a good working knowledge of working within a primary school have a wide range of experience working across all Key Stages (Foundation, KS1 & KS2). They will be expected to support the class teacher and pupils’ learning, lead interventions and be willing to engage fully in the work of our school, including being flexible, working as part of a friendly, supportive team with high expectations. There is a requirement that you support Breakfast Club, After-school Club and/or lunchtimes.

Post 3

Teaching Assistant (Permanent) (Mornings only)

 

Salary / Grade: B - C - £ 16495-18672 per annum, pro-rata

21.66 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, (7.25am-12.05pm)

Job Start Date - ASAP

 

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work mornings only starting as soon as available. Applicants must be a good team member and hold GCSE Grade A* - C (or equivalent) in English and Maths, NVQ level 2. The successful candidate will: have experience or a good working knowledge of working within a primary school have a wide range of experience working across all Key Stages (Foundation, KS1 & KS2). They will be expected to support the class teacher and pupils’ learning, lead interventions and be willing to engage fully in the work of our school, including being flexible, working as part of a friendly, supportive team with high expectations. They will also be required to lead and run the Breakfast Club 7.30am-8.35am; taking registration/organising administration as well as preparing breakfast snacks and activities and a requirement to support lunchtimes.

Post 4

Teaching Assistant (Permanent) (Afternoons only)

 

Salary / Grade: B - C - £ 16495-18672 per annum, pro-rata

18.89 hours per week, 39 weeks per year,

(1.05pm-6.00pm x 3 days per wk/1.05pm-3.10pm x 2 days per wk)

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work afternoons only starting as soon as available. Applicants must be a good team member and hold GCSE Grade A* - C (or equivalent) in English and Maths, NVQ level 2. The successful candidate will: have experience or a good working knowledge of working within a primary school have a wide range of experience working across all Key Stages (Foundation, KS1 & KS2). They will be expected to support the class teacher and pupils’ learning, lead interventions and be willing to engage fully in the work of our school, including being flexible, working as part of a friendly, supportive team with high expectations. They will also be required to lead and run the Activity Club 3.10pm-6.00pm; taking registration/organising administration as well as preparing snacks and activities and a requirement to support lunchtimes.

Post 5

Meal-time Assistant (Permanent)

 

Salary / Grade: Grade A - £16394 per annum, pro-rata

6.25 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (11.55am-1.10pm)

We are looking for a Meal-time Assistant to work Monday to Friday, starting as soon as available. Applicants must be a good team member, be willing to engage fully in the work of our school, including being flexible, working as part of a friendly, supportive team with high expectations. They will also be required to facilitate positive play and support pupils with their eating and manners.
