In science this half term, Year 6 are learning about living things and their habitats. So far we have been classifying plants and animals by comparing their characteristics. In today's lesson we were identifying the characteristics of different microorganisms. We have now started an investigation to establish the conditions required for mould to grow on bread. The children have decided on an independent variable, such as light, temperature and moisture. They made their predictions and we will now observe the changes that occur over the course of the next few weeks, whilst recording the results.
