ANTI-BULLYING - Lets Stop Bullying For All!

This week and next the whole school is looking at Anti-bullying. Further information will be coming home via your child and class teacher.
Children will be involved in discussing what a bully is? The difference between falling out and bullying. What to do in a range of circumstances. Making posters and possibly a video to demonstrate their understanding. Unfortunately the word bullying is used for many fall outs and used too quickly to label an individual - bullying is the persistent and intentional behaviour to cause harm or upset to an individual or group (pending their culture/need/background.) This is something we do not tolerate in school  - we take a zero tolerance stance. We hope that the work covered will enable us to provide children and their families a better understanding of what constitutes bullying and in doing so, help to stamp it out in society. Look out for further information.
The national strap line this year is:
LET'S STOP BULLYING FOR ALL!
