A group of school Marine Champions, from KS2, were asked to contribute to the BBC Countryfile programme. They were given the mission to carry out an egg case hunt,on Wembury Beach, and help the presenter to identify the species, with support from Kat of the Plymouth Shark's Trust.
Fortunately the weather and views were lovely and they found an egg case. Did you know that Wembury Beach has one of the greatest varieties of species found?
Find out more when the programme is aired, week commencing August 24th. Initially it will be aired after the news in the morning, and there will a series of five programmes - so no excuse to watch them all! (Especially as some of our pupils may be starring!)
If you want to join the Great Eggcase Hunt you can do so by downloading the App, either from App Store, for iPhones, or Google play, for androids. You will be able to identify which species you have found and submit your records, keeping track of all your finds. Happy hunting!
