What a wonderful morning it was up on the Plymouth's beautiful Hoe for the Half Marathon 2018.
41 of our Wembury runners signed up for the challenge that was running 12 miles before the big day and the final 1.1 mile on the day of the marathon itself.
The sun was shining as 3,000 children from Plymouth's primary schools joined together in a sea of green to celebrate a love of challenge, health and fitness, and what an atmosphere it was! As the adults set off the children readied themselves for their final mile and off they went with a bang.
It is truly inspirational being part of something so special as we see our runners wearing their medals with pride having completed their challenge. This is only possible due to the fantastic effort by PSSP in the organising of such a huge event - thank you!
Thank you to all those that helped and the parents for supporting us by getting the children there so early on a Sunday morning - I hope you will agree it was worth it! We look forward to doing it all again next year. Bring it on Wembury is ready!
