School Games Day

Despite having to postpone the Games Day on Friday, today went ahead as planned, with glorious weather to accompany. There was a super turn out of parents and family members, both during the morning with KS1 & EYFS and in the afternoon with KS2. We were delighted to be joined by staff and children from Pre-School.

The Games were a balance of non-competitive and competitive activities and races. This ensured that all children were able to participate and succeed at their own level, encouraging team mates on. We even had one little girl in her wheelchair, because of her broken leg, able to take part in a couple of the events.

Both morning and afternoon sessions saw some very competitive racing by parents - great audience participation - thank you!

The overall CHAMPIONS of the day were Bantham (yellow), who were led on their lap of honour by Ollie and Meris, their team captains.

Thanks need to be given to:

Albion Oaks Rugby for the loan of their PA system,

Year 6 leaders and Aidan for their support in setting up the day and organising events and encouraging during this morning,

All staff for their support and management of teams,

and of course parents and family for their continued support and participation.
