So the Year 3 Children (siblings and parents) have done it again.. and this year there were even more involved. It appears they had a great day walking (for most) but the children enjoyed running everywhere!! Going around Burrator and climbing up rocks and mud to reach the top of Sheeps Tor. It was then back down a boggy hill for a picnic on some rocks, heading back through the woods and mud and to the start/finish.
The walk was about 5 miles long so what an amazing feat! Well done to;
Jacob & Alice
Bradley & Myah
Hector & Hugo
Lucus & Amy
Hopefully that was everyone!! And of course to all their fabulous parents.. who apparently didn’t moan once!
The children have raised a whopping £420 so far, with money still coming in so they have beaten their last year’s total of £400. WOW!
Jago was asked if they would still want to do it if the weather was bad and he answered, “yes, it’ll make it more of a challenge.. and then we might raise more money.” What a fantastic response. Fortunately this year they had good weather!!!
They are not the only ones who are very proud of their achievement, the school is too. What brilliant children we have, they show so much resilience, determination, and such a respect and understanding of others.
