SUMMER FAYRE NEWS from FroWS

We are writing to tell you all about the Summer Fayre which is coming soon. The Summer Fayre is our biggest fundraising event of the year and we hope the children are looking forward to the big event!

The school kindly allow us to hold three mufti days leading up to the Fayre on the following dates in return for contributions for the Summer Fayre. The details and dates are:

Mufti - Friday 9th June £1 contribution towards the Bouncy Arena

Mufti - Friday 23rd June Jar Raffle (more details below)

Mufti - Friday 30th June Foundation + KS1 =Cakes      KS2 = Bottles

The Bouncy Arena will this year include a disco dome and a bungee run.

Jar Raffle – We will be having a Jar Tombola at the Fayre and we would like children to bring in a jar on Friday 23rd June filled with things, it could be lego, marbles, sweets…the more inventive the better! There will be prizes for the most ingenious entry. Last year saw some great entrants including seeds and soil for planting your own wildflower garden!

We have changed the format for the donations on 30th June this year and are looking for cakes/buns/brownies and sweet treats from Foundation and KS1. These will be sold on the cake stall at the Fayre. From KS2 we are looking for donations of bottles for a bottle raffle. This could be a bottle of lemonade, ketchup or even shampoo!

In the central arena, we will having a range of events, full programme to be confirmed shortly including of course Year 2 Maypole Dancing, this year with a disco twist!

We have set up an event on Facebook to update you all and will be sending out letters with more details closer to the date. Visit www.facebook.com/friendsofwemburyschool for more information.

We are looking for sponsorship for the Fayre so if your business would like to donate a contribution, please contact us at the school office or on friendsofwemburyschool@gmail.com.

We can only run events like this for the school with the support of parents, grandparents and carers and so if you would like to get involved on the day, from serving beer to cooking the BBQ and everything in between please let us know. You could just sign up for half an hour with a friend and do your bit!

We look forward to seeing you there.

Friends of Wembury Primary School.
