Sing Plymouth!

SING PLYMOUTH!

30 children from Year 5 and 6 have been invited to be involved in an exciting SINGING PROJECT called SING PLYMOUTH!

It is a project designed to link Year 5/6 students with Year 8/9 students to focus on singing as a forum for learning – skills, creativity, transition, peer education, performing and fun!  There are 5 secondary schools taking part together with 20 primary schools and a special school from across the city. Wembury pupils are linked up with Coombe Dean pupils.

There will be number of workshops in the Spring Term and a final performance at Plymouth Pavilions on the 20th June 2013.

The launch event for primary and secondary students to meet and start working together was on Tuesday 13th November, 1.20pm – 2.45pm, at the Plymouth Guildhall.

The Wren Trust and the Flash Jack Shanty Crew led the session and taught us new songs to share with the rest of the school.

This is a wonderful singing opportunity for us and I’m sure we will all enjoy taking part.
