Visualising Number

After learning all about fractions before half term, we will continue to explore number until Easter, with a focus on decimals and percentages. To gain an understanding of what tenths, hundredths and thousandths look like and how big they are, we used base ten as a concrete representation. We discussed the relationships between these different values and how they can be written as both fractions and decimals. The children are really impressing us with their verbal and written explanations of their understanding in maths. Keep it up Year 5!
