Watercycle Project with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment Summer Term 2015

Wembury Primary is just one of four schools in the Plymouth area taking part in an exciting music project led by the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment [OAE] this term.

Players from the orchestra led a music workshop in mid April and will lead another workshop in school on Thursday 14th May.

The children have been finding out about Handel's Water Music and the instruments of the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, singing a new song called Watercycle and learning a sea shanty. Children will also perform in a Concerto for Plymouth which has been specially written for the residency.

The project culminates in a schools concert, in which the orchestra and the children will perform. This will take place at the Devonport Playhouse during the school day on Friday 15th May.
