The DfE have updated their Covid 19 website again on 28th Feb. Link here:
In particular can I please draw your attention to the section 5 from the guidance as below.
5. What to do if a case of COVID-19 (pupil, student or staff) is suspected in your childcare or education setting.
If anyone has been in contact with a suspected case in a childcare or educational setting, no restrictions or special control measures are required while laboratory test results for COVID-19 are awaited.
There is no need to close the setting or send other learners or staff home.
As you may know:
Since 1981, the parish of Wembury and the commune of Locmaria-Plouzané have been twinned.
The Locmaria-Plouzané twinning association is hoping to renew and strengthen ties between our two villages, through family exchange visits.
A group of ~10 parents/children aged between 7- 15 are looking for host families to welcome them for three nights, from Wednesday 20th - Saturday 23rd of May.
These families would be most welcome in Locmaria-Plouzané and hosted in return as and when they choose to visit our corner of Brittany. To sign up to host a family, or for more information, please contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
If you would like to further develop these links please contact on the above details.
As you may be aware, at the end of last half term, Devon Air Ambulance had to make an emergency landing on the school field, to assist and transport a patient. Fortunately the patient was made comfortable and is making a recovery. Just to let you know that although excited by the helicopter, all children were respectful of the need for privacy. However, just before they left the helicopter crew carried out a fly-past, dipping the nose of the helicopter and waving to all the children. What an amazing job they do!
Over the next few weeks there will be some additional features to our website. There are some new sections as well as some new systems and an app. We will also be able to upload longer videos, which we have been unable to share with you in the past. We shall also be using the site as our means of communication – our texts and emails will become part of this package, as will parent consultation bookings. Please bear with us whilst these systems are introduced, though there should be no impact on current systems and use, thank you.
Don’t forget it is World Book Day and Mad Scientist Mufti this week!
