Despite the weather I hope you are managing some family time, whether that is indoors or outdoors. If you have planned to go away please be very aware of any quarantine that may be required on your return, as this could impact upon your child's return to school, as expected on the 7th September. (Hopefully your plans are not to visit Spain, as beautiful as it is?)
Over the past week some additional letters have come in to circulate amongst parents - please see links below.
Child Exploitation and Online Protection, regularly send links and ideas, on how to keep your child and family safe online, especially given the additional amount of time many of us have spent online over the past few weeks. Weeks ago we had a Mufti Day to raise funds for the NHS. At last we have finally been able to collate and donate. Thank you to all who contributed in raising £113.20 for our amazing NHS.
We currently have a new vacancy for a Clerk to Governors. If you would like a new challenge or feel you have the skills and experience, relevant for this role then please click on the link below. Mrs Guthrie has decided to take up new challenges, after six years of working within the school and governance. She is going to be sorely missed, as her knowledge and governance role, has ensured that Wembury governance is regarded as good and effective practice, by many other governing bodies. We thank her and wish her all the very best in her new journey.
Over the next couple of weeks, current class pages will be archived and new pages set up in readiness for September and their new cohorts.
In the new pages will be an introductory video from new class staff, as well as an overview and powerpoint (at a later stage) of learning and expectations. We will also add the email details for a direct link to class staff, rather than the previous, long-winded, page contact link as previously used. This was discussed at a governor meeting, and for quick messages this was not a useful tool for parents. School does not access this in the same way as parents, therefore this feedback has been taken on board and changes made. In the new year we will also begin using the Class Blogging area, although only those who are logged in will be able to access. Further details will come in the autumn term.
Archived pages will still be available through a link at the bottom of the main, home page for year groups. (You can also access all previous years here too.)
We will keep you updated as and when appropriate, but please do keep using our website as the main vehicle for information.
