A Morning of Languages

Year 5 were immersed into four languages in a morning at Coombe Dean – French, Spanish, German and Japanese! Not only did they experience the language but also some of their culture; origami, writing and games. It was obvious they had enjoyed the sessions as the mini-bus was full of new songs and language on return to Wembury. This was a fabulous morning of collaboration, between WeST schools, with Dunstone, Oreston and Sherford, also taking in the experience.

Cross Country

Last Friday saw the penultimate cross country meeting for local primaries, taking place at Goosewell. Again we had another great turn out and successes. Well done to all runners, and congratulations to Azad on another first place.

Uniform Shop Survey

As the uniform shop has been running a few weeks and a number of parents have utilised this new service, could we ask that you answer this very short survey (about 5 questions) which should only take about a minute to complete. We would like to know how it is working, what you think of the service and products, (if you have used this), and if there is anything we need to take back to MAPAC. From the school’s point of view, orders seem to arrive promptly, correctly and the quality is good. We want to know if your experience is the same. Thank you.

Book Fair

Why not come in out of the wet and cold, when collecting your child this afternoon and visit our Book Fair? There will be lots of lovely books on sale and maybe give ideas for World Book Day outfits. Don’t forget this is on Thursday 7th March, we are looking forward to all the fabulous outfits and characters coming into school.
