After recent successes at other football events, our boys team couldn't quite make it through to the next round of the Knockout Cup this afternoon in a very tough match against Whitchurch. After having a relatively dry spell before Christmas, the heavens have certainly opened over the last few weeks and the football pitch has displayed the effects of this! On the very muddy pitch, we managed to take the lead through a spectacular overhead kick from our captain, Oliver Shepherd. Both teams tried their best to pass and dribble but it proved very difficult on the soggy pitch. However, as the game went on, Whitchurch grew in confidence, playing some excellent attacking football to end the game as 4-2 winners. We wish them luck in the next round and look forward to our next game which is in the Plymouth Primary Schools Football League
on Friday afternoon against Oreston. Then after half term, our footballers will be able to put their fitness levels to the test as we embark on cross country season!
