Following on from our learning about square numbers, Year 5 explored cube numbers and where they get their name from. The children represented some of the cube numbers using multilink and wrote calculations to show them as well as using the correct notation. They learned that a cube number is the product of three
numbers which are the same. Following initial tasks to develop fluency in this concept, the children reasoned and solved problems involving both square and cube numbers. Great work, Year 5!
