Science week started with a bang as we carried out the old metos and diet coke experiment. We then went straight into biology, exploring the heart and its function in preparation for dissections in the afternoon. Children participated with curiosity and enthusiasm as we dissected lambs hearts; many were able to locate the different parts, first hand.
We were lucky enough to have a visit from our friend from the Shark Trust where we learned about how different species of shark are adapted to their habitat. Everyone wanted to look after the cuddly sharks!
Other highlights included testing liquids to determine whether they were acid and alkali, using red cabbage water and the effect of vinegar on an egg shell.
Have a look through some of the photos to see what has been going on.
