Year 6 have begun their focus on gymnastics in P.E this term. We started this week with learning the 3 main positions in gymnastics, pike, tuck and straddle. We were taught that every move, hold and sequence will involve one or a combination of these positions. Starting with jumping and moving froward in pike and tuck positions we moved onto the forward roll in a tight tuck position, we progressed to a forward roll off a bench and then a dive forward roll over the bench, ensuring that the tuck position was held throughout. All the children really engaged throughout the lesson and are looking forward to next week.


Please remember our P.E lessons are Tuesday and Friday afternoons this term, all children should have their full school P.E kit in school.
