Year 6 took to the mats today to have a go at the ancient, unarmed combat system of the Samurai Warrior - Ju Jutsu. The children learned some basic defensive moves - blocking punches and kicks - as well as how to hold someone so they can't escape.
All of the children really enjoyed the session, getting fully involved. Two in particular, who proudly sported their purple stiped belt, were very capable in their demonstrations, much to the admiration of the rest of the class. Well done boys, and a big thank you to Sensai Greg Regan for the session.
For more information on how to get involved in Ju jutsu, you can find the link on our PE page.
