We have been learning all about units of measurement in Y6 and have been revising how to find the area and perimeter of rectilinear shapes. We decided to take our maths outside and find the area and perimeter of the playground. We also created our own shapes based on a given area!
To finish off our unit on 'angles', we decided to have a bit of fun drawing space-ships and rocket-ships to scale!
Ethan modeled to the class how to draw a shape accurately with given measurements and angles!
Starfish class warmed-up their brains on their first day back by playing around with number pyramids. They used their knowledge of number, addition and subtraction to solve missing number problems and discuss other possibilities. The best part is - they got to draw on the tables!
