As in previous news a number of pupils have been raising funds for different causes, that have interested them, and yet another pupil has demonstrated this support.
Before Christmas Caitlin was reading about the critically endangered Vaquita Porpoise in the Gulf of Mexico- the WWF have a specific campaign to raise awareness and funds at the moment.
She decided she would like to do a sponsored run to raise money for this cause and ran 4 very muddy miles on the coast path between Wembury to Heybrook Bay (with her Dad) and raised nearly £250 through justgiving and cash donations from family and friends.
She had set the target as £30 as this is how much it costs to remove one illegal fishing net, so was very pleased to raise so much more.
This is the link to the fundraising page:
Caitlin (and her dad) should be very proud, so a massive well done to them. How great to think that our children are very considerate of the world around them and beyond.
