As most of you are aware the school is having a 'face lift' over the summer! The work seems to be on track and according to the contractors, in some areas, ahead of schedule.
The new boiler has been fitted and all classroom windows and walls (yes walls), have been gutted! Windows are now in the process of being fitted and work has already started on Year 6. Painters and decorators will be in this week.
Cladding is due to arrive any day, and will compliment the colour of the external huts. Unfortunately bad weather may delay some works.
Further work has been planned to improve the external of the library and staff entrance, which will take place either evenings or one weekend, once we have returned.
Attached are some photos of the work so far. As you will see our 50 year old 'temporary school building' was in a poor state behind the external boarding, some of the wood literally crumbled! We are looking forward to returning to our new look school in September.
