Watch Out! Watch Out! Cyclists About!

Year 5 have recently undertaken their Bikeability Level 2 course.
Although the weather was varied it did not stop children taking a keen interest in how to keep themselves safe on the road. Many of them said that their biggest learning point was to remember to look over their shoulder before manoeuvring, and not always just once. One saying 'a door and a little bit more,' helped them to remember to stay at least a door width away from a parked car when going around it, so that if someone accidently opened the door they should be avoided.

Well done to all our keen cyclists and let's hope they put their new found life skills to good use now and in the future.
