At Wembury Primary School, we have developed our own progression for Foundation and Key Stage One which leads into the introduction of Opening Worlds in Key Stage Two.  We  deliver a progressive, high–quality geography education that allows pupils to gain a natural curiosity and fascination about the world that they live in. We stimulate all children’s interest and understanding of diverse places, people, resources and natural and human environments. 

The children at Wembury will start off their geographical learning with the ‘familiar’, exploring their local area and the United Kingdom. They develop the skills necessary to branch out and explore the ‘unfamiliar’, with place, space and scale at the heart throughout our geographical curriculum.
