Our football team had a great day at the PL Primary Stars football tournament, organised by PAFC Community Trust. We started the day really well, recording 6 wins in our first 6 games, with some brilliant football being played. The boys seemed to take their foot off the gas in the final group game, losing 1-0 in a very close game against Drake. Therefore we finished 2nd in the group, out of 8 teams. Throughout the group stage, we scored an impressive 30 goals, conceding just 4. Next, we moved on to the quarter finals with a very competitive 1-1 draw with Leigham. This meant the game would be decided on penalties. After each team scored their first 6 penalties, unfortunately we went out after a fantastic save by the Leigham goalkeeper. The team played very well today and were really unlucky to go out in the way they did. Well done, Wembury - another fantastic showing today! Next up is our girls tournament on Thursday on the school field. Go Wembury!
