The fog lifted just in time for Year 3's amazing Plymouth Heritage Boat trip. Children thoroughly enjoyed sailing out to the Breakwater and around Drake's Island, spotting local wildlife on the way including a gannet and a seal! During the journey, we collected plankton which we were able to inspect more closely under the microscope.
As well as taking to the seas, we spent a little time exploring the shore line looking for marine life. The children were experts at finding crabs! Other highlights include several brittle starfish, a blue jellyfish, whelks and various seaweed. The class were a pleasure to take and were a credit to the school - well done.
Thank you to Dr Juliette Jackson and her team, for sharing their knowledge.
