Well done for all the learning you are doing at home. As from this week, you might receive an online certificate to celebrate your special achievements at home. You can print them or save them in a special folder on your computer. Keep an eye on your mailbox!
Don't forget to visit our virtual classroom areas where you can see your friends being creative, active or studious. There were some lovely poems written this week which are in our Writing Corner.
May 8 2020 marks the 75th anniversary of VE Day. As a school, as well as a family, we would like to celebrate this very special day together by sharing photos of what we have been up to. You will find ideas on the VE Day Learning Overview page.
So many of you are joining in with Bug Club reading that it is hard to choose the Reading Bugs of the week. Those who have completed the most books this week (at their level) are Flynn, Nathan and Lizzie. Remember that you have to complete each book on your bookshelf (there should be 5) before you can access the next ones. If you forget to answer a 'bug' question, its eyes will remain open and the book will stay on your bookshelf. If you are not using Bug Club and are enjoying reading chapter books at home, send us a short book review and you can also be chosen as the Reading Bug of the week. This is the case for Maya who wrote a book review on Dork Diaries which you can find in our virtual Reading Corner.
I look forward to seeing your VE Day photos. If we have enough, we will be able to make a Year 2 VE Day poster with all of the photos to commemorate this very special anniversary.
Keep well and stay safe.
