Many thanks to those of you who have been keeping in touch to let us know how you are and how your child is getting on. Mrs Wotten and I will contact you within the next two weeks at a mutually convenient time to have a little catch up. Please do not feel that you have to send photos; you are welcome to just send an email to share news or to ask questions. If you are happy to send photos to me but would rather they did not go on the website, just let me know.
As from this week, I will be teaching Year 1 on Wednesdays and Thursdays and will therefore not be able to promptly reply to your emails on those days. I am excited to see the children and am looking to starting a new work routine.
As mentioned in my last email, we are entering a phase where some parents are either returning to work or working from home and do not necessarily have the time to choose or adapt the activities sent home to their child's needs. With this is mind, you will find below a suggested timetable with hyperlinks. This is only for those of you who wish to use it. You can edit the timetable to suit your family situation.
We have also purchased CGP workbooks which will reduce some of your printing and will hopefully engage your child. These are to consolidate key skills in mental arithmetic and grammar/spelling/punctuation. I have added to the pack a sticker chart with stickers as a further incentive for your child to complete the tasks they are set; you are welcome to take photos of your child on a weekly basis - or to tell me how many stickers they earned in the week- for me to praise them and to send certificates. I will deliver the workbooks to your door on Monday and hope to see some of you if you are at home.
Many thanks for your continued support throughout confinement.
I look forward to hearing from you and I hope you are all well.
